Moon's diameter is roughly = 2000 miles or 2K miles
Earth's diameter = 4K miles
Distance between Earth and Moon = 240K miles
Sun's diameter = 865K miles
Distance between Earth and Sun = 93000K miles
Now imagine Moon as a small glass play ball.
Relatively, Earth would be as big as a ping pong ball.
The distance between Earth and Moon would be a yard.
Sun's diameter would be 4 yards (a ball as big as a small room.)
And the distance between Sun and Earth would be around 5 football fields.
How does a ping pong keep a glass ball around a yard away in orbit?
Better yet, how does a ball, although 4 yards in diameter, keep a ping pong 5 football fields away in orbit?!
Maybe Gravitational Waves is the answer.
