Title: An Activity-Oriented Approach to Testing Web Application

Abstract
Writing and maintaining Web application tests with good coverage consumes a
significant amount of time compared to the time needed to write and 
maintain the target system.  It is thus important to carefully architect 
the test code.  In an agile development setting, it becomes even more 
important to create a maintainable architecture so that modifications to 
the test code can be made easily when requirements change.  Also, when 
essential tests complete quickly, developers can utilize tests more 
frequently to validate modifications to the system.   In this talk, we 
present an approach to web application testing that relies on the use of a
test activity graph that enables the creation of a sequence of 
interdependent activity tests, where a test activity is defined as a 
self-validating user interaction with the application.  The approach relies
on the creation of a class hierarchy of domain objects built on top of a 
set of web application testing primitives provided by the open
source HttpUnit framework.

Representatives at the Wells Fargo Home Mortgage call center must worry 
about every aspect of the call they are on with the customer, from protocol
to average handle time. Overlook turns the statistics into data.
